About Our Council Council 14057 is named for Mother Theodore Guerin who was canonized a Saint by Pope Benedict XVI shortly after the founding of our Council in 2006. She was born in France in 1798. With five other Sisters she came to America in 1840 and founded the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary of the Woods in Indiana.
