Edward M. Mucha, 87, of Palos Heights, at rest, May 16, 2022,
surrounded by his loving family. Born October 28, 1934 in Chicago
to Vincent and Sophie Mucha. Beloved husband to the late Barbara,
loving father to Mark (Cyndi), Patrick, Pam (Jim) Gonsch,
Tricia, (Patrick O’Connor) and Dawn (Patrick) Lacey.
Adored Papa to Zach (Amy), Jimmy, Coni (Stu), Curt, Zoey(Justin),
Ashley, Jake (Rachael), Jessica, Noah, Amaya, Brynn, Teagan,
Wyatt and Grant. Dearest brother of the late Stanley (the late Maryann)
and Sister Carol Mucha, RSM. Beloved brother-in-law to
the late William (Lois) McCann. Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Special friend to Celeste Kappel.
He was a devout husband, father, grandfather and friend who lived his life
selflessly and proudly. He worked for TWA for 39 years, which enabled him to
travel the world, develop lifelong friendships and ultimately, meet, marry
and raise a family with the love of his life, Barb.
Religion was the foundation of his life as he was grounded in his Catholic upbringing.
His commitment to God, the church and his community was apparent.
His Catholic faith had a profound impact on his every word and deed; whether it was
volunteering for Meals on Wheels, ushering at St. Alexander or as a member of
the Knights of Columbus.
