KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COATS FOR KIDS Knights of Columbus Councils across North America purchase new winter coats to be distributed to children in need in their local communities. Through the dedication of councils across the United States and Canada, hundreds of thousands of new winter coats have been distributed to children across North America since the inception of the Coats for Kids program.
In Fall 2022 St. Theodore Guerin Council 14057 Knights of Columbus raised the funds, purchased, and delivered 192 winter coats to the school children of St. Basil/Visitation and St. Benedict the African Parishes located in Chicago.
St. Theodore Guerin Council 14057 purchased 96 coats for Winter 2021-2022. New winter coats were delivered to St. Basil Visitation parish in Chicago. The council provided 48 children's coats to this parish in the Coats for Kids program.
Grand Knight Steve Lukasik, Deputy Grand Knight John Laskey, Tim Casey, Fran Pendergast, and Tom Stuchly deliver new winter coats purchased by Council 14057 to Fr. Dennis at St. Benedict School in Blue Island.
For 2020 St. Theodore Guerin Council 14057 purchased 16 cartons of coats. With 12 coats in each carton, that's 192 Coats for Kids.
On Nov. 25, 2020 six boxes of coats were delivered to St. Columbanus on 71st Street, Rev. Matthew O'Donnell, pastor. Office manager Kimberly Johnson is pictured with Grand Knight Steve Lukasik.
