STAR COUNCIL St. Theodore Guerin Council 14057 of the Knights of Columbus was awarded the distinction of Star Council, the international organization's top honor for local councils, for the 2023-2024 fraternal year. The Star Council Award recognizes overall excellence in the areas of growing membership, promoting Knights of Columbus insurance benefits, sponsoring Catholic faith formation programs and volunteering time through service-oriented activities. 
The Star Council Award was presented to Grand Knight John Laskey by District Deputy Dan Davis after the 11:30 Mass on Sunday Nov. 17, 2024.

PGK Tom Stuchly During the fraternal year members of the council collected food for, and volunteered at, the Catholic Charities Emergency Food Bank. Through the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program the council gave four cartons of new winter coats to needy children in the south suburban area. Members of the council also collected donations at busy Palos Heights intersections during the annual Tootsie Roll candy fundraiser to support people with intellectual disabilities, bringing in more than $8000. The council has also sponsored a number of youth programs in our parish including a soccer challenge, basketball free throw contest, spelling bee, and the Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. In addition, the Knights awarded $1000 Catholic high school scholarships to two graduating St. Alexander School students.  Return to Photo page
